Coming home from a ski holiday with my family, we had a long drive of more than 10 hours ahead of us.

I love podcasts about personal growth and entrepreneurship. My boyfriend, not so much.

Yet the rule is that the one who drives determines what we listen to. So when it was my turn, I asked him to choose a podcast episode from Steven Bartlett’s Diary of a CEO.

He chose ‘The Happiness Expert with Mo Gawdat’.

At the beginning of the episode, my partner played chess, not paying attention. But after a while, I saw the breaks between each game took longer, and the attention switched to the podcast.

30 minutes into the podcast, we were both completely entranced. Time flew by, and the end surprised me.

Steve Bartlett asked this question: ‘What failures do you cherish the most?’

Mo Gawdat answered: ‘I have failed for many, many years to empower my feminine side. I think our world is suffering from hypermasculinity.’

Huh? What?

Coming from a man, this is a very interesting regret or failure. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a man saying this. And it got me thinking — it’s also something I’ve been noticing more lately.
